At Babyou, we are proud to offer lactation services to our clients. We have a variety of packages to support breastfeeding prenatally and postpartum. Breastfeeding may come naturally for some and be a very overwhelming experience for others. Whatever your feeding goals are, our lactation counselor is here to prepare you and your family to meet your goals. She will work alongside you and your newborn to create a customized care plan and ensure you are successful in your breastfeeding journey.
What to expect from a consultation:
- Baby and maternal assessment/latch

- Tongue/lip ties
- Poor latch- causing pain and low milk transfer
- Breast engorgement
- Over/under milk supply

Virtual Prenatal/Postpartum Consultation ($50)
Meeting via Zoom, approximately 30 minutes.
Discuss breastfeeding goals and make a care plan together. We will talk about what the first two days will look like after bringing your baby home and how to experience breastfeeding in an enjoyable way. During your consultation, we can set up and organize your postpartum space.
Initial In-Home Prenatal/Postpartum Consultation ($175)
In-home session, approximately 1.5 hours.
Discuss breastfeeding goals and make a care plan together. Prenatal: We will talk about what the first two days will look like after bringing your baby home and how to experience breastfeeding in an enjoyable way. We can set up your breast pumping station, build a postpartum kit and more. Postpartum: We can set up and organize your postpartum space. Initial assessment of mom and baby including a detailed history, establish goals, discuss fears, empower and educate about Breastfeeding success. Assess latch and overall newborn care techniques, which can include diaper changes, bath, swaddling, safe sleep, and car seat safety.
Follow-Up In-Home Postpartum Consultation ($150)
In-home session, approximately 1 hour
Follow-up assessment of mom and baby. During this session, we will address goals and barriers, make changes to your care plan as needed and ensure ongoing breastfeeding progress.
